Follow-up to annual scrutiny session on 7 February 2022

Thank you for joining us on 7 February for our annual scrutiny session. We were grateful for your time and appreciative of your full and frank responses to our questions. Thank you also for sharing information in relation to your budget position immediately following the session.

During the session, there were a number of points raised on which you offered to provide additional information. I have summarised these points below:

-      Case studies: You noted that you have collected examples of public bodies’ engagement and actions following publication of the Future Generations Report. Please could you provide details of these examples?

 

-      Implementation gap: You noted your concerns in terms of the implementation gap between Welsh Government policy and delivery, and that you had a list of examples you could share with the Committee. We would be grateful to receive a copy of this list.

 

-      Requests for support from the Welsh Government: You noted that you had received 1,061 requests for support since May 2018, including 362 from public bodies and of those, 157  from the Welsh Government. Could you please tell us the number of times you have declined requests for support from the Welsh Government, the nature of the requests and any additional information relating to those decisions?
